AABC Europe 2024 is an international conference focusing on battery technologies. Dr. Falco Schneider and Dr. Jochen Zausch from the department »Flow and Material Simulation« will be on site and will each give a presentation.

We will be present at the VI-Grade ZERO PROTOTYPES SUMMIT! Our experts Dr.-Ing. Christoph Burkhart, Francesco Calabrese and Alberto Tanzi of our division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« are on site with a booth and present our software tool »CD Tire«.

Dynamic loads occurring in the field play a central role in the development of mechanically stressed systems. A good understanding of the operating loads is crucial for a design with regard to functional properties such as strength and vibration behavior.

Our colleague Amartya Chakrabortty from the department »Flow and Material Simulation« will be at the SIAM conference and give a talk on »Asymptotic Analysis of a Composite Plate with Matrix Pre-strain«.

Our experts Dr. Joachim Jonuscheit and Andreas Keil from the »Materials Characterization and Testing« department will be at the twentieth World Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (WCNDT) in Incheon, South Korea, with the presentations »Inspection of Dielectric Composites with Millimeter and Terahertz Waves« and »Millimeter Wave and Terahertz Imaging for Inspections in the Field of Cultural Heritage«. In addition to exhibitions, lectures, meetings and workshops will also be held.

The ECCOMAS Congress provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest developments in the field of scientific computing in engineering. The ECCOMAS Congress includes presentations by experts, special technology sessions (STS), contributions from research, teaching and industry as well as organized mini-symposia. Experts from our division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« and the department »Transport Processes« will be on site, giving presentations and offering exciting insights into their research work.

In our Math Talent School for MINT-EC schools, schoolgirls have the opportunity to gain practical experience in workshops and work in teams on real challenges in applied mathematics.

The 15th International Munich Chassis Symposium chassis.tech plus brings together experts in wheel suspension, steering, brakes and tires as well as automated driving. Our colleagues Tim Rothmann, Dr.-Ing. Christoph Burkhart, Dr. Sebastian Emmerich, Dr. Manfred Bäcker and Francesco Calabrese from the division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« will be on site with their own exhibition stand and a presentation.

The Tag der Mathematik (Day of Mathematics) is an information event organized by the Department of Mathematics at RPTU Kaiserslautern. As an institute, we will be represented with an information booth where we will present career opportunities and everyday working life at the Fraunhofer ITWM. Experts from the departments will also give four presentations under the motto »Mathematics in Thirty Minutes – A Quick Insight Into the Exciting World of Applied Mathematics at the Fraunhofer ITWM«.

The IMSD conference is a biennial series that serves as a meeting place for the international multibody community. Our colleagues Dr. Sebastian Emmerich and Georg Franosch from the division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« will give a presentation with the title »Modelling, Parametrizing and Simulating a DEM-Based Soil-Model for Industrial Applications«.
